Century 21 Masters has referred realtor agent Paul R Dean at The Agency RE (thereafter, Paul) to me concerning a property of interest for sale in Punta Cana. The reasons for Paul's referral to me are as follows: Regrettably, the sellers experienced over a year of challenges in selling the house with many other realtors, and along with critical maintenance issues that were not addressed. Consequently, on October 30, 2024, Paul listed the house. The initial potential buyer reached out to Paul on November 9th. The showing of the house occurred on November 18th. A verbal offer was made on November 21st, leading to the issuance of a Letter of Intent on November 22nd. The contracts were executed on January 31st. Escrow was successfully closed on February 6, 2025. WOW 3 months 1 week!!! Paul's process to sell the house within 3 months and 1 week was outstanding!

Before contacting Mr Paul, I had never contacted any foreign housing agent. As I had no prior experience in foreign housing transactions, I always felt that the transaction would become a hassle. In order to follow through with our purchase, we were going to need the help of an expert. It took some time and a few interviews, but that’s where Paul quickly became the only person we were willing to work with.
His approach reminded us of home and our goals quickly took priority over everything, which seemed to be an issue with the other agents we spoke to. Whether it was the details before we arrived, the importance of our wish list, or our last-minute stress and his friendly council.
As the transaction was being completed to relieve us. The information we needed to do far more than just make a purchase were all things Paul prioritised for us without any hesitation. He was there for every step, taking the lead on anything we needed. Paul closed the gap between Canada and the Dominican Republic before we arrived, making the process very comfortable. Arriving on the North Coast Paul had arranged for a colleague Katie to welcome us and show us the properties we were interested in. It was clear that Paul and Katie were on the same page during the process.
As well as taking care of anything else we were unsure of. In the end, this experience could be called outstanding, but I think most notably because we felt very familiar with the process, Paul and Katie have gone above and beyond to replicate the real estate purchase and investing process you would have in any other market. Just like Canada. So much so that it was comfortable, we felt secure in our investment at each stage.
Last but not least, we left feeling like we made good friends in both of them. We enjoyed meeting both of them and the time we spent along the way. Especially Paul for spending most of what was a very adventurous day driving across Hispaniola to be with us. We can’t thank either of them enough, Paul for literally managing everything we asked for no matter how long we took, or how often we asked. Paul worked very hard for everything along the way over 5 months and left no doubts in our minds at any point. I could say so much more about how great this experience was.
